Community Alliance Party Launch - 12 June 2008
The Community Alliance Party had their official launch launch on Thursday 12 June 2008 at the Albert Hall in Yarralumla (ACT).
Their guest and keynote speakers were:
- Tony Powell AO - former Commissioner for the NCDC
- Dr. Jenny Stewart - Associate Professor of Public Policy at University of Canberra
The MC was Ian MacDougall (a local musician) who also gave the first public performance of “This Town is Your Town” a new rendition of a classic Woody Guthrie song.
Their first four candidates, James Sizer (Brindabella), Jane Tullis (Ginninderra), Norvan Vogt (Molonglo) and Mike Crowther (Ginninderra), also made their debut campaign speeches at this event.
A new rendition of a classic Woody Guthrie tune with new lyrics specially written by Ian MacDougall for the launch of the Community Alliance Party.
This song was recorded and mixed in home studio of Scott Salmon.
