A briefing session was held by ActewAGL and Technical Real Estate at the Town Centre Sports Club (Vikings Club), Corner Rowland Rees Crescent and Athlon Drive, Greenway on Saturday 17 May from 10.00am to 3.00pm.

The session was advertised as an opportunity for those who were unable to attend the special meeting of the Tuggeranong Community Council to attend. canberravotes.com recorded the first hour and a half of that meeting which can be viewed by clicking HERE

It is understood that Canberrans for Power Station Relocation (CPR), a group of residents fighting to get the proposed power station relocated as far away from residential areas as practically possible, thus minimising the impact of the effects of pollution (atmospheric, noise, light) to local residents was denied access to another room in the Sports Club to put their case. As a result they set up an information tent on the nature strip outside.
